MG Tree Service works in Wyndham, the planned community in Glen Allen off Nuckols and Pouncey Tract roads. We trim mature trees, remove trees that have become a risk, grind stumps and install mulch, working carefully around irrigation, lighting and finished landscaping that most Wyndham homes have.
Wyndham, VA
Wyndham was planned around a golf course, lakes and wooded common areas, and most homes have finished landscaping: edged beds, irrigation, path lights and specimen trees chosen by a designer. The trees that were young when the neighborhood filled in are now mature, and many of them need their first serious trimming.
Tree work in a yard like that is as much about what you do not touch as what you cut. Limbs are lowered instead of dropped into shrub beds, the chipper stays on the driveway and the beds get put back together before we leave. A trimming job should make the yard look better, not leave a mess to clean up.
The other Wyndham classic is the tree that outgrew its spot: a maple by the front walk now lifting the pavers, a river birch crowding the patio or a pine in the back that leans over the screened porch. Those are usually removal and stump grinding jobs, followed by fresh mulch to finish the bed.

Local trees
Designed landscapes, golf course edges and wooded common areas each bring their own kind of tree work.
Front-yard trees that need careful structural pruning to stay attractive.
Beautiful bark, but fast growth and constant debris near patios and pools.
Tall pines near the golf course and common areas that lean toward houses.
Everywhere in Wyndham beds. Thinning beats the hard topping they often get.
What we do here
Good to know
Wyndham has an active homeowners association with architectural guidelines. Some tree removals, especially larger trees or trees visible from the street or the golf course, may need approval before the work. Check with the Wyndham Foundation or your management company first. We can describe the work for your application.
Trees in common areas, along the golf course and around the lakes are not the homeowner’s to remove, even if they hang over your yard. If a common-area tree worries you, report it to the HOA. Branches that cross onto your lot can often be trimmed back to the property line, but talk to the HOA first.
Inside your own lot, a normal tree does not usually need a Henrico County permit.
